Orasulfa

Bacteriostatic agent, prevent bacterial replication Sulfachloropyridazine blocks the synthesis of dihydrofolic acid by inhibiting the enzyme dihydropteroate synthase. Sulfachloropyridazine is a competitive inhibitor of bacterial para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), which is required for bacterial synthesis of folic acid. Mode of resistance is via the alteration of dihydropteroate synthase or alternative pathway for folic acid synthesis.

-treatment of Diarrhea caused or complicated by E.coli in calves less than one month of age
-Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by  sensitive micro-organisms like  Haemophilus, Pasteurella, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Steptococcus spp. in calves, sheep, goats, poultry and swine.
